Mark Edgar Thomas Robinson is a contemporary British artist whose evocative paintings bridge the gap between outer landscape and inner emotion. Born in Northern Ireland and now based in Milton Keynes, Robinson draws inspiration from the wild seascapes of the Irish coast and the lyrical stillness of the Cotswold countryside. Working primarily in acrylics, his practice fuses impressionism and expressionism to create landscapes that are not literal representations, but emotional interpretations of place.

His paintings are built from photos, memory, intuition, and mood—filtered through layered brushwork that moves from bold and sculptural to whisper-soft. Whether depicting a storm-lit headland or a quiet path through fields, Robinson invites the viewer into a realm where time slows and nature becomes a vessel for reflection.

In addition to painting, he creates prints and digital finger-painted works born purely from imagination, continuing his exploration of atmosphere, memory, and the dreamlike qualities of landscape.

Each work offers a portal into the in-between: the seen and the sensed, the familiar and the mythic, the landscape as it lives within us.

Mark Edgar Thomas Robinson is also known for his golf portraiture and live event painting, particularly his work featuring leading international players from the European Tour (now the DP World Tour). His golf art focuses on expressive acrylic portraits and dynamic “swing paintings” that capture movement, atmosphere, and the psychology of elite sport.

Between 2009 and 2014, Robinson worked in association with the DP World Tour Championship, where he painted top professional golfers during tournament events, documenting the world’s top stars through observational and studio-based works.

His role as a resident-style event artist during this period contributed to the development of his distinctive golf series, later branded under his Robbo Golf / Robbo Fine Art practice.

Originally from Northern Ireland and later based in Milton Keynes, Robinson’s connection to Stormont and his wider Irish heritage informs the discipline and narrative quality of his sporting portraits. His golf works sit alongside broader collections including architectural studies, portraiture, and the later “Wild Dandies” series, reflecting a career that bridges fine art, live performance painting, and contemporary sporting culture.
